Our March meeting was at

the rising & very serious threat of cyber security
April:
Our final speaker meeting was at
J.P. Fitzgerald's with Paul
Mary of Morgan Stanley. The topic was "The Dow, Next Stop"
June:
We concluded our year in usual style, with our end of the year party.
This year we met at
Buffalo Distilling Company
where we enjoyed a catered
meal & learned how high quality vodka was produced locally.
The 2015-2016
Meeting Season in Review!!
September:
We
kicked off our 2015/2016 season with our good friend Steve Fier from
IBM at one of our favorite
Buffalo
restaurants, Chefs.
Steve is very good to our group; he travels from out of town to
share with us IBM’s latest announcements. We all benefit
from these, as well as his knowledge.
October:
The
second meeting of the season was at the Scotch and Sirloin. Chris
Burns from Gemko, who has always been a huge supporter of our user group
along with Gemko presented “Where do we go from here”, a presentation
on iSeries Access.
December:
We
had our Holiday Party in December at the Hamburg Casino.
All the members and families had an enjoyable night, including
great food, great conversations and free-play money for the casino.
This was also Steve Kait’s final user group meeting, as he
embarks on a new career.
February:
Our
first meeting of 2016 was at The Grill @ The Dome. A friend
and co-worker of Dave's, Christopher Dively from Cardinal Health presented
“The Business Analyst Role in a Large Corporation”.
Christopher traveled to
Buffalo
from
Winston-Salem
North Carolina
to present at our meeting.
March:
Our
March meeting was at an Italian favorite, The Italian Village. A
“Speed Networking” session was planned, but our presenter was called
away & unable to attend. The meeting was quickly reverted to a casual
networking discussion and March Madness event.
April:
Our
final speaker meeting was at JP Fitzgerald's in
Hamburg
. Jill Martucci and Allison Hall from the Bonadio
Group gave a eye-opening presentation on Security called “Current
Security Threats and Lessons Learned”.
May:
We
concluded our year in usual style, with our end of the year party. We
visited
Buffalo
’s own Flying Bison, catered by Dinosaur BBQ. It was a fun
night full of beer tasting, a tour of the brewery and some of the finest
BBQ in WNY. Everybody had a blast (& a beer)!
The 2014-2015
Meeting Season in Review!!
September:
We
kicked off our 2014/2015 season with our old friend Steve Fier from
IBM at, our first time venue, The Grapevine Restaurant. Steve
traveled here to share with us IBM’s latest announcements.
October:
The
second meeting of the season was at The Old Red Mill Inn. Billy Vona from Windstream Technologies
came out to discuss Factors to Consider with Cloud Computing.
December:
We
had our Holiday Party in December at Frank's Sunny Italy in Buffalo.
Everyone had an enjoyable night and the food was delicious.
February:
Our
first meeting of 2015 was at Chefs in Buffalo. Eric Anderson
from Netanium was there to discuss the hot topic of "Information
Security".
April:
Our
April meeting was at ShoGun Hibachi Grill in Williamsville.
Michael Szczepanik from Gemko Information Group was there to
present the topic Bringing Mobil Apps to the iSeries.
May:
Our
last meeting of the season was at JP Fitzgerald's in Hamburg.
Bill Jacobs and TJ Tarrant from Zebra, John Templeton from Millennium
Technologies and John Collins Jr. from Motorola were there to discuss
Advanced Mobile/Handheld Technology & the Future Direction of the
Internet.
June:
We
concluded our year in style with our end of the year party. We
reserved a ballpark catered box at a Buffalo Bison’s Game. The
game, weather, fireworks and the food were amazing. Everybody had a
blast.
