October
27, 2020 Event (Tuesday):
Virtual.
~COMPLETE~
We are excited to have IBM Platform Leader, Steven
Fier, talk about IBM’s recent announcements around Power9, IBMi Operating System
and Cloud. You do not want to miss this informative session from an IBM subject
matter expert. The pandemic has not slowed down IBM from refreshing the Power9
hardware in July and enhancing the IBMi software stack in October. IBM has
supercharged the platform with many great new features and offerings. The
presentation boils down the information and highlights key announcements of most
value to you and your organization.

December 10, 2020: Cancelled due to low
registration.
Unfortunately, The MUG virtual holiday party set for tomorrow evening (December
10) has been
cancelled due to a low registration rate. We want to thank everyone who was
involved in the planning for their efforts.
We understand this has been a trying year for all and we hope everyone is able
to end 2020 on a positive and healthy note. We wish you a Happy Holiday and the
MUG board looks forward to reconvening in February 2021.

COVID-19 Update
Please read the following message from our board of directors:
As
our user group season progresses, we are eager to get back to regular in-person
meetings at our favorite establishments. However, in keeping with current health
guidelines, we must continue the season virtually to ensure the well-being of
our members.
The
MUG Board of Directors will continue to evaluate CDC guidelines, NYS/local
mandates and DOH regulations to make responsible decisions for the health and
safety of our members and guests, with regards to the re-opening of our
in-person meetings. In the meantime we are planning to hold virtual meetings to
fulfill our commitment to provide education and value to our membership.
We thank
you for your patience and co-operation throughout these unprecedented times.
On Behalf
of the MUG Board of Directors
David Giambra, President
February 18, 2021: TBD as conditions allow. We are working on plans to make
this our first in-person meeting
March 23, 2021 (Tuesday): TBD as conditions allow
April 22, 2021: TBD
May 2021: End of year party
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While all
the uncertainty remains, there can & likely will continue to be modifications as conditions
dictate.
We, again
ask your patience & support in making the season the best possible.
Thank you,
MUG Board of Directors
